Red Meat Raises Stroke Risk

Women consuming too much red meat may have a higher risk of stroke than women eating less, says a new study.

Red meat is high in saturated fat and cholesterol; both are risk factors for cardiovascular disease, heart attack, and stroke.

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests lowering saturated fat intake and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables to help reduce your risk of stroke.
