Glee's Dianna Agron Joining Cast of 'I Am Number Four'
The film adaptation of I Am Number Four, the first book in a sci-fi novel series co-authored by James Frey, became a big deal pretty fast. First it was because the film was rumored to be set up as a project for Michael Bay to produce and, possibly, direct.
Then DJ Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) was tapped to direct, with Bay and Steven Spielberg producing. Actors have steadily been added to the film, and now we've got one more: Dianna Agron, who has had insane exposure in the last year thanks to her role on Glee. Warner Bros. Reportedly Developing Film Based on Comic Series 'Starman'
UPDATE: Well, I'm told that 'reportedly' should be downgraded to 'not.' In other words, a good source says this isn't happening. Sorry to dash your hopes. Mine are kinda dashed, too. Original article follows.
This is a comic book adaptation I can really get behind. As DC Comics starts to get more films in development at Warner Bros., attention is being paid to some of the less obvious titles. One of those is reportedly Starman. (And no, it isn't based on the John Carpenter movie.)
While Starman is a character with a long history at DC — there have been several incarnations — the version I'd expect the film to focus on would be Jack Knight, the son of the original version of the character, and the core of an award-winning series written by James Robinson from 1994 to 2001. The poster doesn't reveal much about the upcoming sequel, the first part of a new trilogy written by screenwriter Kevin Williamson. The one-sheet shows a close-up of the Ghostface mask and features the tagline "New Decade. New Rules." And the letter A in the Scream logo has been turned into a red number 4. Check out the full poster after the jump, along with some new information on the film from Craven.

Clash of the Titans and Journey to the Centre of the Earth Sequels in the Offing, But Original Directors Won't Be Coming Back
I don't imagine there's going to be much fan loyalty to either Louis Letterier or Eric Brevig for their first films in the Clash of the Titans and Journey to the Centre of the Earth franchises, and it looks like there's going to be no studio loyalty either. As sequels to both films start to gear up in the Warner Bros. back office, it has become clear that new helmsmen are being sought, with pace of turnaround being the real priority.
As far as Journey goes, there's one name being touted already: Brad Peyton. He's got Cats and Dogs sequel The Revenge of Kitty Galore coming up this summer, and I'm doubtful it will make for much of an auspicious feature debut. On the other hand, his "cartoon gothic" shorts Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl and A Tale of Bad Luck were very well received and seemed to suggest he was at least going to become a director who could pack out signing sessions down at Hot Topic. Rather than Journey, I'd far rather hear about him going off to shoot Billy Grimm, the film he's been developing with Ginger Snaps' superb screenwriter Karen Walton.

Fox Searchlight May Produce Imperial Bedrooms, the Bret Easton Ellis 'Sequel' to Less Than Zero
Bret Easton Ellis has a long history with Hollywood. Over twenty years ago he was less than impressed with the film version of his novel Less Than Zero, though thirteen years later Mary Harron would adapt his American Psycho into a film that quickly attained cult classic status and The Rules of Attraction generally stayed true to his intentions. Last year's The Informers swung the pendulum back towards crap, but there is reason to hope for some of his upcoming projects.
Ellis has a couple of movies in the pipeline, and now his upcoming novel Imperial Bedrooms may become a film as well.Read the rest of this post on SlashFilm.com…
